Project Overview
Pathways Church offers a modern worship experience in an 1800's historic Denver building (originally a Jewish Synagogue).
Challenges presented themselves in the design and install due to the wide fan shaped seating arrangement, limited speaker rigging options and the request for stereo imaging.
The room was also fairly large overall with tall cathedral ceiling sections. Pathways also required high output capabilities to fit their worship style. This gave us the chance to be creative in speaker choice and placement.
We chose to use Danley Sound Labs SH96 full range box for mains. The SH96 has (4) – 15
inch drivers, (6) - 4” mid-range drivers along with a 1.4” high frequency driver. All in a single horn. The SH96 allowed for great pattern control and great intelligibility at high SPL. We also utilized Danley's TH115 tapped horn subwoofer for extended low-end. The TH115 provided
the power efficiency needed for the owner furnished amplifiers and high output levels for the large room.
The SH96 was used in a alternating left/right stereo configuration to provide some audio depth and imaging to the fan shaped seating. This is the first phase of improvements to the A/V systems that will match Pathways modern worship service.
