Orchard Church.

If you don’t already know, the population of Colorado has been exploding in the last few years. In fact, it’s been reported that Colorado is the second fastest growing state in the US. This fact was not lost on Pastor Doug Dameron of Orchard Church. Back in 2005, Pastor Doug and his family started Orchard with the goal of planting a church built on community and family, and that’s just what they did.

They’re passion for people spread quickly, and in 2014, Orchard Church had reached the point where the high school auditorium they were meeting in just wasn’t cutting it. They ended up purchasing the 38-acre lot right across the street from the high school to keep the location as accessible as possible. With the expansion came a need for a future-proof AVLA system that would help Orchard create immersive worship experiences, but also allow for growth within the community. In order for the technology to keep up with their growing community, Summit installed a NEXO line array system with a Yamaha CL5 at FOH, complete video suite and IMAG system, as well as top-notch stage lights from Martin Professional and Chauvet.

With this growth in community and building size came staff transitions within Orchard’s team, which is something many churches can relate to. The mix of current and new staff at Orchard, plus our Summit team, resulted in a perfect match. In the end, working with Orchard to make sure they got the system they needed was the top priority. We can’t wait to see what’s next for Orchard and their amazing community.
